Two years ago today FP Collective was launched.

We had the idea – to build a website where we could showcase some of the best wealth management related content offered in Canada free from any of the sales pitches, half-truths, and general BS that has plagued consumers from coast to coast to coast.

The goal has always been to provide Canadians with a centralized hub for easily accessible, quality wealth management content and information from some of Canada’s leading Financial Planners and thought leaders.

As Mark McGrath initially posted 2 years ago:

“More and more Canadians are turning to online sources and social media for financial advice.
But the rise of finfluencers, online courses, and paid newsletters has led to an explosion of misinformation, mostly focused on getting views instead of providing credible financial information.
How can Canadians know what to trust, and what to ignore?
Enter FP Collective.
Launching today, FP Collective exists for one reason: to help Canadians cut through the noise and find trustworthy personal finance information.
With over a dozen contributors and growing, all of whom have real experience and education in the world of personal finance, we aim to aggregate, evaluate, and deliver to you the best in Canadian financial planning content from around the web.
And it’s all free.
